For some time we have realized the tremendous need for two commercial washers and two commercial dryers because our aging and small capacity washers & dryers cannot keep up with the constant demand of laundry for 55 children. Madre Chuy, in charge of the laundry area, is rather elderly and finding it difficult with our present equipment to keep up with this tremendous daily task. We do not have the electrical capacity to handle commercial equipment nor the funds. Additionally, we would need to purchase an ELECTRICAL TRANSFORMER. This purchase would permit us to bring in higher voltages and amperage electric lines. At the present time, we do not have the funds for this project.

Purchasing all this equipment would also require us to install a HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM to increase the water pressure.

February 6th marks the date for the biggest and best charity event of the season - the 8th Annual R.I.S.E. for Hope Fundraising Event - a Mexican Carnival - at the American School from 5 to 9 P.M to benefit the wonderful children living at Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, a children's shelter in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.
